Working away from the office isn’t new for Loudbox. Long before the world was forced into remote work due to the pandemic, our team had already mastered the art of creating incredible music from various locations. For us, remote collaboration has always been a part of the workflow—some of our composers have worked on high-profile projects from abroad while seamlessly collaborating with those in the office.
This ability to work across time zones and locations didn’t just keep us afloat during the pandemic; it’s been a cornerstone of how we operate. And yet, as much as we thrive in remote setups, we still believe nothing beats the magic of face-to-face collaboration.
Remote Work: A Loudbox Tradition
Even before remote work became the norm, Loudbox was already structured to accommodate it. A perfect example of this is the McDonald’s ad featuring Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, which required complex teamwork across multiple locations:
This multi-layered process worked seamlessly because we all used Logic Pro, allowing files to be passed along smoothly. Despite working remotely, the team delivered a polished, Broadway-style ad that captivated audiences.
Today, over 90% of our music is done remotely, but collaboration and structure ensure every project is handled with the same precision and creativity as if we were all in the same room.
The Magic of Face-to-Face Collaboration
While remote collaboration has proven to be effective, there’s something truly irreplaceable about working together in person. For example, the Peninsula project started remotely but reached its full creative potential only when we were able to gather in the office.
In this project, creatives, directors, and even editors sat in the same room with us, each contributing ideas that pushed the music further. This level of involvement and immediacy in brainstorming is difficult to replicate in a virtual environment.
Face-to-face collaboration brings:
Fostering a Collaborative Culture
At Loudbox, collaboration isn’t just a process—it’s part of our culture. From day one, we’ve emphasized the importance of working as a team. When we hire new talent, we pair them with our veterans, not only for training but also to instill the value of collaboration.
We believe that:
Adapting During the Pandemic
When COVID-19 forced the world into isolation, Loudbox didn’t miss a beat. Our team had already been accustomed to working remotely, so the transition was seamless. But while remote work came naturally to us, getting everyone back to the office has been a bigger challenge.
We miss the camaraderie, the instant bursts of creativity, and the shared energy that come with working together in person. While remote tools and systems keep us efficient, they can’t replicate the vibe of being in the same room, bouncing ideas off one another, and seeing projects come to life together.
A Space Designed for Creativity
Our office was designed with one goal in mind: to inspire creativity. Every corner of the space was built to foster collaboration and ignite ideas. From the acoustics to the layout, it’s a place where people feel encouraged to experiment, brainstorm, and create.
While the pandemic changed how we work, the essence of the Loudbox office remains. It’s not just a workspace—it’s a creative hub.
